Alex’s Angels is a non-profit organization committed to brightening the holiday season of children with cancer.

It was started by Alex Carver’s parents who wanted to honor the memory of their daughter who lost her life to AML Leukemia.

Every dollar donated is used to buy Christmas gifts for those unfortunate children who are forced to spend their holiday season in the hospital. Gifts are delivered by Alex’s Angels, along with Santa Claus, to each child usually within a week before Dec. 25th.

Each child is asked by a hospital staff member to list some specific gifts they’d like to receive for Christmas. That staff member then relays the list along with the age and gender of each child to Alex’s Angels. Then those gifts along with many more are purchased and delivered.

For some children it may be the last Christmas they get before going home to Heaven. That was true for Alex who had to spend her last Christmas at the hospital opening gifts with her mother, father and sister instead of being at home where any child would much rather be. Therefore, Alex’s Angels is dedicated to making the Christmas season for these children the best it can possibly be under the circumstances.
